Michael Jackson's sudden death

In Loving Memories of
Michael Joseph Jackson
August 29,1958 - June 25, 2009

It’s the most shocking death of an entertainment superstar since John Lennon in 1980.

All due respect to the memories of Kurt Cobain, Heath Ledger, Chris Farley, Aaliyah, Selena and the far too many other celebrities who died suddenly, Michael Jackson was in another universe as an entertainer. He has had his health problems over the years, but we had no inkling he was anything but healthy before Thursday afternoon.

The pop entertainment world was still paying tribute to the late Farrah Fawcett when the shocking news about Jackson was delivered. Within the span of just a few hours, we heard paramedics had been called to Jackson’s home, that Jackson was in cardiac arrest — and then, according to TMZ.com, he was gone. Mainstream news outlets were rightfully cautious, reporting Jackson was in a coma, making sure the story was confirmed before proceeding with their obituaries.

Wow. Michael Jackson gone. He was only 50, but he was world-famous for more than 90 percent of his life. And what a life. What an amazing, inspiring, impressive, frightening, sad, wonderful, terrible, troubled, bizarre, sweet, beyond-strange life.
He was reportedly abused as a child — and he was either a great friend or a dangerous predator to children as an adult.

What's beyond dispute: Jackson's showbiz resume is first-ballot Hall of Fame stuff.
He was one of the most talented child stars we’d ever seen, delighting TV audiences and record-buyers as the front-kid for the Jackson 5. He was a sex symbol as a young man. In the 1980s, he was the biggest star in the world — one of the biggest stars ever. On a par with Elvis, the Beatles, Sinatra. More dominant than any entertainer who has come along since then.
“Thriller” is one of the Top 10 albums of all time. Singles such as “Billie Jean” and “Beat It” and “Thriller” will live on for the next century. Jackson revolutionized the music video. He was the Jackie Robinson of MTV. His appearance on the Motown anniversary special in 1983 was the stuff of legend, with nearly 50 million tuning in to see his famous moonwalk.

“The Wiz” and the nearly forgotten “Captain EO” notwithstanding, Jackson never made the transition to movies. Had he not undergone the multiple surgical procedures, had he not affected that persona that went from Peter Pan to Pure Creepy, maybe he could have done some decent films. Some kind of musical, perhaps. But in the end, he was just too weird even for Hollywood.

The marriage to Lisa Marie Presley, with that infamous kiss on TV? We didn’t buy it. The interview with Diane Sawyer, in which Michael wore gold-plated shinguards? Chilling in its wackiness.
And of course there were the charges, the denials, the trial and the lingering doubts. We’ll never know the truth about what happened or didn’t happen, but the known facts are troubling enough. It’s just not right for a grown man to host children for overnights at a home called Neverland.
In the end, ours is not to judge. We mourn the entertainer, and we should respect that his family and many friends loved him. Michael Jackson was one of the most beloved and one of the most ridiculed figures of the last 100 years. His music delighted tens of millions of fans the world over, and he did an enormous amount of charity work — but he creeped us out with the statues to himself and the faux-military uniforms and most of all, with the questions about the kids he befriended.
Nevertheless, it comes as a shock to hear he is gone. He was the father of three children. He was a greatly gifted artist. He had every right to believe he had decades of life ahead of him. It is a shame he's gone.
Nobody has a guarantee on tomorrow. When someone ridiculously famous dies, the best reaction is to say a prayer for that person — and to vow to treasure the people you really love, not in an “I love his music” way, but in a real, human way. The people in your own life.

Michael Jackson through the years...

Rest In Peace...

Megan Fox IS A MAN!!

LOS ANGELES, CA - The internet has been abuzz since this Sunday’s Golden Globes ceremony, where Megan Fox jokingly remarked that she looked like a man.

When interviewed on the red carpet, she said “I look like Alan Alda in drag. I’m a tranny. I’m a man.”

At the time, reporters passed it off as a jovial attempt to cover for her nerves.

However, today she has cleared the air and officially reported: she’s really a man.

Megan Fox was born Mitchell Reed Fox in Rockwood, Tennessee. From an early age, Mitchell showed an interest in both performing and women’s clothing. When having a preacher lay hands on him did not ‘cure’ him of these interests, his parents simply put him on the pageant circuit.

By the age of 13, Mitchell had already started a career as a female child performer called ‘Megan Fox’. Making her debut on an Olsen Twins straight-to-video release, the twins have kept his secret all this time.

As a sweet 16 present, Fox’s parents offered him sexual reassignment surgery, which, given their child’s career, they’d hoped to write off as a business expense. Unfortunately laws prohibit such surgery to be done to minors.

Since then Megan has been working non-stop, and been included on many Hottest Women lists in publications around the world.

Megan, as she goes by now exclusively, also noted this Sunday how much she wants Salma Hayek’s figure. She has even scheduled surgery later this month to get it. After the two met in New York this week, Hayek offered to have a cast made of her bust so doctors can match them exactly on Megan Fox’s chest.

The internet is already speculating whether this news will be worked into the plot of the upcoming Transformers sequel.

Best and Worst dressed at the 2009 Oscars!

*P.S: NO OFFENSE TO ANY OF YOU WHO ARE A FAN OF SOMEONE WE INSULTED* =)

Are You Ready? The 2009 Oscars’ ceremony has already gone and we still don’t know the way stars looked. Shame on us. However, we still can save the situation and start enjoying the dresses right now. This time the event was all things glam and chic, what is more black and white dresses. Let me tell you my own list of best and worst dressed celebrities:

BEST DRESSED******

Miley Cyrus looked fantastic in a belted Zuhair Murad white mermaid-ish sequined dress. Hurray, Miley!
The second place goes to Jennifer Aniston and her talent to be different. She looks great wearing everything and nothing as well, lol.

And on the third place you are welcome to find Angelina Jolie in Elie Saab black dress and big emerald earrings.

I like Kate Winslet by Stefano Pilati for Yves Saint Laurent. The following dress made her look slim and stylish.

Penelope Cruz rocked the evening in her vintage Balmain dress. Absolutely gorgeous!

Natalie Portman was chic and charming as usual. The following pretty pink Rodarte dress suited her the best way possible.

Shimmery Armani Prive gown was an excellent pair to Anne Hathaway.

WORST DRESSED******

I am terribly sorry, but to my mind Heidi Klum made a big oops while choosing the following Roland Mouret dress.

Jessica Biel looked awful in Prada.

Beyonce seemed to be wearing a curtain instead of a dress.

Vanessa Hudgens in a black Marchesa dress was too big to be true and beautiful, lol.

Amanda Sefried was too bowed this night. I even mean overbowed.

What are you thoughts??

Madonna may adopt again from Malawi

LILONGWE - Pop star Madonna has said she may adopt another child from the poor southern African country of Malawi despite the controversy surrounding an earlier adoption.
Critics accused the government of skirting laws that ban non-residents from adopting children in Malawi, which has been badly hit by the AIDS epidemic, after Madonna took on David Banda.
“Many people — especially our Malawian friends — say that David should have a Malawian brother or sister,” she said in response to emailed questions from Malawi’s the Nation newspaper.
“It’s something I have been considering, but would only do, if I had the support of the Malawian people and the Government.”
A Malawian court approved the adoption of David last year.
Madonna has said the controversy had been difficult to deal with but she was happy to be involved in a case that might pave the way for more adoptions in Malawi. An estimated one million children in the country have been orphaned by AIDS.
Madonna, who began adoption proceedings in 2006, took David when he was 13-months-old after his father had placed him in an orphanage following the death of his wife.
David is growing up in the high-flying life of a leading pop star, worlds away from his village of Lipunga, where Banda’s relatives eat staple food like maize meal from simple bowls and meals are cooked on open fires.
Madonna said she wanted to keep him connected to his homeland.
“It is a big priority for me to educate my son about the world, but always to stay connected to his Malawian culture,” she said.
“He has a big map of Africa in his room with lots of arrows pointing to Malawi.”
Madonna said her divorce from film director Guy Ritchie would not deprive their children of either parent.
“I believe in family. So, everything between us is very amicable ... we both agree that our children should always feel a deep connection with both their parents. It is our responsibility to give them that foundation,” she said.

Amy Winehouse pleads not guilty to assault

LONDON - Singer Amy Winehouse turned a court appearance into a spring fashion show Tuesday as she pleaded innocent to assaulting a fan at a party last year.
The 25-year-old star known for battles with addiction and frequent run-ins with the law stepped out of a car wearing a low-cut floral mini-dress and her trademark beehive hairdo. Paparazzi flashed away at their first sighting of the diva since she returned from an extended break on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia.
Winehouse, who has been in and out of rehab, looked healthier than in recent appearances and appeared to be in good spirits. She covered her bosom in faux modesty as she entered the courtroom.
Once inside the City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court, she confirmed her name and date of birth and pleaded not guilty to a charge of common assault.
Winehouse gave her name as Amy Jade Civil. Her husband of two years, Blake Fielder-Civil, has filed for divorce.
Her lawyer, Mark Haslam, apologized for what he called the singer’s slightly late arrival in court, saying she had left her north London home more than two hours earlier but had been delayed.
Judge Timothy Workman ordered Winehouse to attend a new hearing at the same court on July 23. She was released on unconditional bail.
Winehouse’s drug problems have been front page news in Britain, where she was pictured puffing on what appeared to be a crack pipe last year. She was fined for illegally possessing marijuana in Norway in 2007, and also got a police warning in April of last year after scuffling with two men during a night out on the town in Camden, a north London neighborhood known for its music scene and drug culture.
She recently left Camden for the more sleepy Hadley Wood area of Enfield, a borough in London’s far north. The alleged assault took place before Winehouse’s vacation and move to quieter quarters.

Robert Pattinson gets naked for new role

NEW YORK - Robert Pattinson says he wasn’t prepared to film his first sex scenes for the upcoming period drama “Little Ashes.”

The “Twilight” actor portrays Spanish artist Salvador Dali as a young man. He tells GQ magazine’s April issue that he was uncomfortable as crew members watched and giggled during his graphic interlude with a male co-star.

“In a lot of ways, I was kind of crossing lines of what I thought I was comfortable doing,” he said. “I had to do all this naked stuff.”

The British heartthrob says he wanted to try “something weird,” but the part was more difficult than he’d anticipated.
Pattinson has found a way to take the edge off before: Pattinson says he took a quarter of a Valium pill before his “Twilight” audition.
